Hi, I’m Sarah.
After ten years, I realised it was the behind-the-scenes of a business that really lights me up.
I originally studied Events Management at university with the dream to make a difference to the lives of others. But it was only after a decade of being the person in each growing team who was relied upon to build the systems that nobody had the time or inclination to build that I acknowledged that I fell in love with the world of business operations.
I might’ve had a different job title each time - Event Operations Manager, Operations Executive, Business Support Manager - but the same instinct was the same: find what’s broken, build something better, and write it down so it doesn’t break again.
How I Got Here.
EVENTS
OPERATIONS
Realised that the problem-solving events and fast-paced comms instincts translated directly into operations.
I became the person building the internal intranet nobody had time to write, building forecasting models from scratch, fixing broken analytics, and turning ad-hoc reporting into something leadership could actually plan around.
PR & COMMS
Community and campaign management for national B2C and B2B clients, alongside a voluntary marketing role for the National Trust, supporting local visitor communications. I even have a distinction cerfiticate in Professional Digital Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
NOW
A decade that started with international corporate events, then moved into motorsport - managing a 220-item ticketing system used by 200,000+ Festival of Speed visitors was a true highlight - and later running a portfolio of 135 events across the UK for ethical small businesses.
Bringing all of it together as independent operations support for small, mission-led teams who've outgrown "we'll figure it out as we go."

Cornwall
Originally from Devon, Cornwall is now home - I’m always happy to bad mouth seagulls and talk beaches.
Skiing
I’ve been every year since I was four, so being on the side of a snowy mountain is my happy place.

I avidly follow Formula One and Formula E, so I’m typically squealing or shouting at the TV on a Sunday race day.
